Day time (Sat & Sun):
Cootamundra town hall.
Coffee & tea table will be provided but no food provided on site.
There are several cafes and food locations nearby, as well as a Woolworths and an IGA.
The Outback Bakery across the road is particularly good if you like baked goods.
If you are uncomfortable buying food in SCA gear, I recommend purchasing something for lunch in the morning.
Saturday night:
Cootamundra ex-servicemen's club (RSL) Wattle function room.
Find the room upstairs from the main dining room. There is a lift is the stairs are uncomfortable.
The RSL has its own Bistro and Bar. All food and drink for the night must be bought through the RSL.
The food there is good, reasonably prices, and quick to get.
Dress code for the RSL is mundane, clean, and no non-religious headwear. While it is not uncommon for tradesmen to wear work clothes, I would stay away from tank-tops if it can be helped.
Why Cootamundra?
Cootamundra is centrally located in Australia. It is connected to a lot of the kingdom via rail and highway.
Holding the event in Cootamundra allows us to keep the event a fair distance for all to travel, both in cars and via public transport. Coota allows us to keep the event price competitive, and have access to reasonable accommodation.
As an added benefit, it is where the Steward is currently living, making mundane logistics easier to manage.
