A Learning-Focused Knight School

This year’s Knight School is dedicated to keeping the event firmly centred on learning. To support that goal, we’re organising the daytime training in the style of a martial arts seminar—structured, purposeful sessions designed to help intermediate fighters sharpen core skills that we believe offer the most value for their continued growth. While lessons may not build directly on one another, the curriculum assumes participants already have a solid foundation and are ready to refine, elevate, and challenge their abilities.
Daytime: Focused Martial Training

During the day, participants will dive into targeted fighting instruction, guided by experienced teachers who understand the needs of developing fighters. The emphasis is on practical, high-impact training rather than general SCA activity time, ensuring every participant gets the most from every session.
Nighttime: Becoming a Better Knight

Historically, Knight School has always been more than combat—and we are proud to continue that tradition. In the evenings, members of various peerages will offer their perspectives on the broader responsibilities of knighthood: leadership, service, comportment, and the ideals that shape a well-rounded member of the chivalric community.
These talks are designed to encourage discussions and mutual growth among the prospective future peers of the realm. They are discussion starters, not full in-depth lectures.
